Misleading headline.

This was 3 out of hundreds of thousands of runs. And mainly due to misconfigurations not aggressive use of zero days.

While it is possible to characterize this as a marketing stunt, it is equally possible to characterize this as transparency.

It is an interesting story but do we really need the sensationalism?

The Department of Homeland Security was just a combination of existing federal bureaus into one entity. What you have to remember and what is noted in the 9-11 report and everyone should read the 9-11 report is that we had evidence of the attacks prior to them occurring, but the problem was inter-agency rivalries prevented the information getting to some central location where you can connect the dots.

Now it’s not to say that there wasn’t a lot of knee jerk authoritarian reaction to the attacks in the form of the patriot act, warrantless surveillance, legalized torture, and extraordinary rendition. Combining federal agencies into the department of homeland security by comparison seemed pretty mild at the time.

Two things:

  1. Ebikes are heavy, like 30-40 KG. While foldable bikes are great just be aware you still need to carry a significant weight.
  2. When they list max carrying capacity, check the fine print, I have found almost every time the max carrying capacity includes the weight of the bike. If it says 100kg carrying capacity that almost always means 100kg - 35kg bike weight = actual carrying capacity of 65kg.

Good luck. Have fun.

In 1997 everyone knew we were in a bubble. Alan Greenspan the Fed Chair publicly called it “Irrational Exuberance. ” If you got out of the market then you missed a market doubling and left significant upside on the table. It was insanity and everyone new it, much like today. There was a trend of people quitting their jibs to become full time day traders. Its easy to make money in an up market.

In the dot com collapse the effects were mostly felt in the tech sector. While the stock market slumped there was not a wave of banks failing. There were a lot of layoffs in the tech sector and IT jobs were hard to come by.
