He was in a couple of other things too, but you probably haven't heard of them.

I love the way he revs up for it but also is trying to keep from laughing

Tim: Fellas, can we do another shot

Director: Don't you fucking dare

aeronmelon@lemmy.world · 21 pts · 2y

Probably the other way around.

Anticorp@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 2y (1 reply)

He seems like he had an absolute blast with that role.

AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world · 20 pts · 2y

He definitely did. There are some outtake videos and he and George Takei were just hamming it up

That gif is screaming for a supergalactic treatment.

He's still alive

jballs@sh.itjust.works · 29 pts · 2y (1 reply)

He's been in a wheelchair since he had a stroke in 2012, so most people haven't really seen him in over a decade. But I think he's still doing some voice work!

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 19 pts · 2y

I wasn't aware of that. What a shame. IMDB shows he's done a handful of VO roles, but nothing since a livestream version of Rocky Horror which was apparently done in front of webcams back in 2020. I hope he's doing as well as he can considering the circumstances.

bionicjoey@lemmy.ca · 9 pts · 2y (2 replies)

He's gone the way of Wade Boggs. Very sad.

AtariDump@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Wade Boggs is still very much alive, I assure you.

He was in C&C 3 and I can't help but think he had to have been in other games, right? I probably even played some; but I can't remember anything other than "I'm going to the one place that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism.... Heavy breathing SPACE!"

lemmy_get_my_coat@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y (1 reply)

In hindsight I think he was onto something

The Worst Witch wasn't a horror movie, silly!

JasonDJ@lemmy.zip · 9 pts · 2y

Isn't that the guy from "The Worst Witch" and its timeless dance and song number?

Yes, but even better known for the reading of this classic Oscar Wilde children's book. I had this on tape as a kid, and his voice is so soothing. https://youtu.be/du3L7iSEbI4?si=HYHXonpaL11juHIf

I seem to recall a scene where he pretends lingerie is currency “… and here’s some more money … oh look! a crisp twenty-dollar bill ...” but can’t remember the source. Am I misremembering?

LeadPharmer@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (1 reply)

That would be his role as Doctor Poole in the movie Oscar. One of my favorite comedies of all time.

Septimaeus@infosec.pub · 2 pts · 2y

Yes! Thank you! Here’s the scene https://youtu.be/Bz8u8_39lCo

Edit: thanks again, that would’ve bugged me for a while lol

Have you ever noticed that all of the bad guys in Don Bluth films have big teeth? Even if they're penguins.

Whatever. He's a hot dog!

Hyphlosion@donphan.social · 2 pts · 2y

Forte the pipe organ from Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas.

Say what you will about the movie itself, but I absolutely loved this character.
