Puddle Jumper. Travels faster than warp 9.9.

With the right address, it could do the kessel run in about 50ft.

"Prepare ship for salamander speed!"

We have salamanders at home.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Right! That's another Star Trek ship! The O'Neill!

PlasticExistence@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Salamander speed? Sir, we've never gone that fast before. I don't know if this ship can take it.

FlyingSquid@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 2y

Ah, buckle this.

Blue Midget, Nova 5, The Esperanto, The Enlightement... can't recall what Ace Rimmer calls his ship so I'm gonna cheat and look it up. Wildfire Huh. That doesn't ring any bells to me for some reason.

The Firefly

doingthestuff@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Really it's just a Firefly class ship, it's called Serenity, but I think Kaylee had some pet names for it too.

Lemming421@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 2y (2 replies)

RHSJack@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 2y

Thats actually pretty brilliant.

Enterprise. Everybody knows without even having watched the series, just like everyone knows Darth Vader and The Lord of the ring. But I think its lazy writing to name every ship Enterprise. Like, name one something like NCC Toilet.

You worked in Star Trek, Star Wars, and Battlestar Galactica. You missed the other sci-fi franchise with Star in the title though. Stargate. Should put a space gate in the background of the image.

No, it's a space station. (And not a moon.)

I'm not sure how it can be a space station when it flies around the galaxy, but you'd have to ask Obi Wan.
