my CK3 playing brain went straight to "that's a lot of murders to get the right one on the throne"

clubb@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y (2 replies)

What is ck3?

Frankly, I don't like your cavalier attitude

germanatlas@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 12 pts · 2y (5 replies)

Turn them into TV celebrities. Keeping up with the Windsors. That way brits can have a full democracy and monarchists can continue with their weird obsession

Klear@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 2y

Turn?!

itslilith@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 2y

kittykittycatboys@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 9 pts · 2y (2 replies)

tjis is more acceptable but consent matters a lots mrow

Zagorath@aussie.zone · 6 pts · 2y (1 reply)

consent matters a lots

Well I don't consent to having a Head of State who's only achievement is being born to some spoilt bitch who herself was only notable for having been born to some earlier rich dickhead. I don't consent to my Head of State not even being a citizen or a resident of my country and in fact hasn't been to my country in over half a decade and for a total of less than one season. I don't consent to a foreign rich dickhead having the power to unilaterally overthrow my country's democratically elected government—a power his institution has used in his name in living memory.

these two things not the same, an removing someone from societal power is not same as violating tjem

TotallynotJessica@lemmy.world · 30 pts · 2y (5 replies)

The UK had Thatcher, experienced decades of decline, and left the EU under Queen Elizabeth. It's not that things are suddenly worse under Charlie; they've been getting continually worse for a long time.

They only "officially" dont, but in fact they wield a huge amount of power over the government, there have been several scandals about it in recent years

TotallynotJessica@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Even more of a reason the conversation is moot

Feathercrown@lemmy.world · 27 pts · 2y (1 reply)

I wasn't aware that forcefem was a word. That seems problematic lol

DragonTypeWyvern@midwest.social · 7 pts · 2y

It's a fetish thing. I don't think it really happens....

A lot.

SuddenDownpour@sh.itjust.works · 18 pts · 2y

Ah, so this was the perfidious trans agenda. Ensuring the continued existence of the monarchy. Disgusting. /s

knightly@pawb.social · 10 pts · 2y

foone is such a charachter. Absolutely a worthwhile follow.

No Gods, no masters.

Big Man-theory shouldn't be recycled with differential feminism.

Monarchies (even constitutional monarchies) should be abolished (yes, despite supposed 'tourism value') and in the meantime not be applauded or sensationalised.

Erm but if there was no queen of england then that line in Megamind wouldn’t make funny?!

Flummoxed@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Maybe if they got really good at Queen or Elton John songs the British might rally? However, the gayness of these awesome performers may be a requirement. Not all Queens are gay?

Just imagine it a moment: King Charles performing Freddy Mercury at Live Aid, back in the stadium, one night only. Then he fades to black.

veneficium@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 2y

Yoo it's Foone! I love her blog!

SeattleRain@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Why are Americans so obsessed with emasculating men?

BigFatNips@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 2y (2 replies)

You're on the wrong instance if that's your take lmfao

SeattleRain@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

If the genders were reversed you'd think it's weird.

Liz@midwest.social · 8 pts · 2y

It's funny because it's weird. Normally you would expect that masculine traits would be argued for I'm a leader, so to straight-face claim the male leader needs to be made feminine is a funny inversion of social and gender roles.

It's basically the reverse of that comedy where The Rock is the tooth fairy.

RoosterBoy@lemm.ee · 1 pts · 2y (3 replies)

But if someone makes a joke about forcing someone to be cisgender all hell breaks loose. Sounds like equality still isn't here.

UnrepententProcrastinator@lemmy.ca · 6 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Because it's a known issue people kill themselves over... Seems quite evident I'm surprised you didn't see it.

RoosterBoy@lemm.ee · 2 pts · 2y (1 reply)

And someone WOULDN'T kill themselves if they were forced to be cis and wanted to be trans? I got news for you, pal.

UnrepententProcrastinator@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 2y

I think we're talking past each other.
