You can always tell when the writer of the latest episode of any show is eligible for retirement but choose not to take it.

What's with Papa Smurf in the background?

Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 28 pts · 1y (4 replies)

It looks like he was edited in to cover up whatever text is under him? The mystery deepens

SqueakyBeaver@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 47 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Did a reverse image search and I guess that the original image is mirrored horizontally and papa Smurf covers a window for some reason

The original image:

I think your source has missed a step. I think it went:

  1. Original source
  2. Someone flips horizontally and adds their logo
  3. Someone adds smurf over the logo
SqueakyBeaver@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 1y

That makes a lot more sense than just covering up the window lol

celeste@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 1y

Reverse image search would be too much trouble on my phone where I don't have the browser extension at hand.

Thought I saw Saddam as the divider. Your memes are ruining my imagination, Lemmy.

Dicska@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y

I just imagined a couple having some snuggly time and a South Park like Saddam just poking his head out in between. Thanks.

I know this is a dumb meme about shitty relationships, but real life pro tip here:

Separate blankets.

Taleya@aussie.zone · 8 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Fuck yea. 20 years, seperate doonas the entire time. Real secret to wedded bliss right here

Ledivin@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y

Is a doona a specific type of blanket or just a local term

EDIT: it's Australian for quilt. Now I know!

I’ve seen these rolled out in hotels that need to turn a double room into two singles.

HornedMeatBeast@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I was abroad for work, flopped onto the middle of my large hotel bed.

Turns out it was two singles pushed together and the bit where they met was a lot harder than you'd think.

rockSlayer@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 1y

I've learned to always flop across the bed from a similar experience

NOOBMASTER@lemmy.ml · 16 pts · 1y (1 reply)

What the fuck??

cheers_queers@lemm.ee · 6 pts · 1y (1 reply)

i know this is a joke, but for those who don't know, this is a courtship bed from i believe the Amish culture (either that or Mormon, I'm rusty lol) to preserve virginity before marriage.

awwwyissss@lemm.ee · -1 pts · 1y

You pull your sinful hand back over on your side of the wall right now, Jebidiah!!

slurpeesoforion@startrek.website · 5 pts · 1y

Sad straight married noises

AdaleiM@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

you know this might help with my weird ability to rotate in my sleep. Husband hates that I'll just... twist sideways and kick him in my sleep instead of lay one direction lmao

Nuke_the_whales@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

Reminds me of Deadwood, when his wife first arrives Seth has one of these set up on their bed

werefreeatlast@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 1y

This is great! But it doesn't match ours! Ours has machine guns and sharks with lasers ok their heads! Nobody is jumping that divider tonight or ever!....oh, who am I kidding 😅, I sleep in the living room 🛋️ couch.

Think about that before you marry. LOL. The sex is fantastic until it's not anymore.

disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 1y

That doesn’t work. The wife gets half the bed, and she’ll take that half wherever she’d like.

ImADifferentBird@lemmy.blahaj.zone · -1 pts · 1y

Maybe my first hint that I'm not entirely cis should have been that I've been married more than 5 years, and in a relationship with my wife more than 10, and I still love her more each passing day.
