I made tuna casserole for dinner

My oldest (M11) loves it, while my youngest (M9) couldn’t be more grossed out by it.

You monster.

If I had to guess, that’s exactly how my youngest probably feels about it. 😂

My daughter's 14. We've given up trying to get her to eat anything we cook without asking her if she'll eat it first.

At that age, you could be teaching her to prepare her own meals. I love to cook and I started sometimes cooking separate meals for myself around that age.

We are. It's more a matter of getting her to do it.

I agree, but it’s the clean up after that had me cook it for years.

I find that any recipe with tuna that I sort of liked, I loved when I replaced it with chicken. Maybe the younger one is the same?

my mom often made tuna hotdish with chicken (or turkey) instead. subbing-in cream of chicken for the cream of mushroom. since no one but me and mom would eat it with the mushroom soup, it was 'better' for us that way, i guess. the 'real thing' was usually reserved for when it was just us two.

Good idea. I’ll try it next time.

Oh man I feel your pain! I have two picky eaters at home and they have very different tastes.

We made tuna melts ourselves tonight, the 2 year old cleaned his plate which is unusual around here.

The recipe I grew up with was effectively baked kraft mac'n cheese with cream of mushroom/celery soup and tuna.

Bonus points for some crushed potato chips on top.
