Rodney Mullen. Weird, brilliant, unbelievably talented, and without whom, my 40 years on a skateboard would have been very different.

Sagan.

I think.

I don't do "famous person" because i don't like person-cults. Focus on the ideas/topic, not the person.

Interesting. What ideas are you drawn to?

Heaven help me, don't make me famous. I have enough issues as it is! 😅

You are waaaaay more Lemmy famous than I am anyway! I mainly stick to one spot, but you're everywhere.

Henry Dunant founder of the Red Cross. A good person, not a perfect person, but a good person.

Emperor Norton the Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico. Shows the absurdity of the collective reality we've agreed to participate in.

I don't really think of it that way but if I could meet literally any person I wanted to it would be Sam Harris and if I could meet two I'd have no clue who the other would be.

EDIT: No, wait - I actually do: Adam Savage.

Probably Neil Peart. But it's not like I actively think about anyone I don't personally know as a "favorite" person. But if I had to pic a celebrity it would be him. Or Paul McCartney.

The thing that always impressed me with Paul is he seems to genuinely enjoy entertaining people. You hear about bands complaining that they hate playing certain songs, out right refusing to play their hits, or phoning in their concerts. But not Paul. I saw him a few years ago and he put on a 3 hour nonstop show. His band took breaks but he just kept going. I can't even begin to guess the number of times he's played Hey Jude, but every time I've seen him play it he seems to be genuinely enjoying himself.
