Thank goodness there are still some places where you are allowed to criticize the rich and powerful.

Fuck James Dolan and this flagrant misuse of social media scraping and facial recognition software for petty squabbles!

So this is what he's up to after selling off Cablevision...

So what I'm hearing is that we all need to call James Dolan a petty, whiny little bitch. Loudly. Publicly. As frequently as possible until such time that they stop being one.

He already has basically the entire Knicks and Rangers fanbase hating him; I’m not sure what a few more haters will do!

Article is from March 28, 2025, so I think it’s a new one, although the banned list is apparently pretty extensive. Here’s what seems to have been the problem:
EDIT: fixed typo

Fuck Dolan, and fuck whoever is trying to suck his cock so hard that they're actually stopping and removing people wearing a shirt criticizing him. Like, how much of a simp do you have to be to act in the interest of a boss? If you're a security dude, just shrug and say you missed what the shirt said.

Article says the New York AG started investigating because the blocklist is so large, including “thousands” of lawyers from more than 90 law firms who have been involved in legal disputes with him or his businesses in the past.
I’m surprised he hasn’t banned his own players!

TIL Madison Square Garden isn't like... A public park or garden 😳. In my defence, I'm British and only ever saw the Madison Cube Garden parody on Futurama, which iirc is actually a garden.

An unfortunately small number of venues which clearly would be in the public interest to be publicly-owned are actually publicly-owned. A huge percentage, in fact, are owned by the Ticketmaster vertically-integrated monopoly that forces entertainers to use their venues and scammy ticketing system (they enable scalpers so that they can get an extra cut) by threatening blacklisting of any who don't play ball.

Yeah the garden part of the name is a little misleading, but even in Futurama the cube is the actual location. And in both modern day/Futurama the square/cube is a venue/arena (which is why they play basketball there in Futurama).
