Considering we're not even prepared for hurricane season, either, and our president is trying to dismantle FEMA, I think it's safer to just say the US is just a little more fucked in general.

Preppers finally getting their time. Not exactly how they thought it'd play out, but I'm sure they'll be stoked delivering "I told you so" for a couple weeks sheltering their neighbours.

Doubt all their guns and underground bunkers will save them from fire or hurricanes!

I guess an underground bunker might.

Clearly we just use the hurricanes to put out the fires.

We have the best person in charge. No one has the sharpie skills tRump does!

That's ridiculous. You can't move hurricanes with a sharpie.
You use nukes.
regedit@feddit.online · 2 pts · 1y
Preposterous. Everyone knows there's no risk of hurricanes if you get rid of the agency that tracks them and the data about their intensity!

And “we’re fucked” is putting it lightly. On that note, check out American Resiliency on YouTube if you want some helpful information on how to get ready!

Welcome to news "reporting" under a trump administration.
1.) State the amazingly fucking obvious
2.) Cite some stupid study, poll, or 'insiders'
3.) ???
4.) Profit!

3 might be something along the lines of "act surprised as if destroying the country isn't their plan"

I had a broken clock once.
I lost it when everything burned to the ground during a preventable wildfire that was mismanaged and allowed to grow unchecked until it consumed everything...

Well, sure. It’s step one.

I hear the term "Burn it All Down" a lot, but is this how it should be done?
Nastybutler@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y
