I once wrote a comic where one of the characters was my own anxiety.
The artwork was a skeleton, and the joke was he NEVER shut up. He would always fill the whole speech bubble, and then the whole panel. He would rant and rant until he crowded out everyone and everything else - and the other characters would have to literally talk OVER him.
The rub was - in order to write him, I had to ask myself what made me anxious. There was never enough to fill a whole panel. Ultimately, our anxiety is so small in scope its maybe enough for just a sentence...
By externalizing him, I gave him a format. By interviewing him, I gave him a voice. By making a joke out of him, I neutered him. And by serializing him, I made this process into a practice.
After practicing it - Axiety can no longer sneek up on me; he can no longer take over the conversation or steer my actions.
Anxiety becomes just a voice.
Just a voice, one that wants to keep the rest of me safe. And when he won't shut up - I draw up a new cartoon, and marvel at how loud the fucker can be when he ultimately has so little to say.
Watching Ted Lasso, I got all nervous when he was about to show up. I wasn't prepared for Tony Head to be all crazy old, but then he's fucking hot as shit because he's Tony Head and being 70 is like no big deal.
But this is not going to work. He needs to seriously stop being dead..
Proof!
God has abandoned the physical creation, we shall now end up living in a whale...

You must gather your party before venturing forth...

Every utterance of this demented, narcissistic, rotting sack of whale meat somehow makes its way into headline format.
Our media ecosystem is broken. At least as much as our political system...
Kneading promotes gluten formation and produces biscuits that are tough and unpleasantly chewy.
You want to handle the dough as little as possible in order to produce biscuits that are light, flaky, and crispy.
The obvious correction - NOT tasking a small cat to make your baked goods enjoys surprisingly little support...
Chef John from foodwishes had a fantastic recipe, but it uses sweet potatoes.
... Death was taking too damn long getting here anyway.
The 2D was the first mini I ever painted.

She's.
Arachnid females are larger than the males and should be the default gender.
Charlotte, and her web, at Tenagra.
The right choice was made here.
Central Texas - would set the AC to 85 degrees. Any colder than that and the bill would kill you long before the heat.
This is not a heatwave. This is the new normal...
Pretty sure my edible just hit...
right.
So... Obama shit in Trump's pants?
I'm so very tired of this total fucking nonsense.
'Introvert' is a label used too often, and too erroneously.
If this is your path - more power to you, and thank you for sharing: the wisdom of an introvert is not something to be taken lightly.
In (decending) order of importance:
where do I park to sleep?
where is the coffee shop?
where is a gym that is not the dungeons of Planet Fitness?
where is the Laundromat?
where is a better coffee shop?
where is a better Laundromat?

That headline is a serious roller coaster ride...

I mean.. we've gone out a few times. It's pretty casual still. I wouldn't say we are seeing each other.
