Right now, which is worse - the energy used to generate the image or the food waste if someone actually made slaw pops? At some point in the near future AI wins, if it doesn't win already.
Growing and harvesting and delivering and picking up food use a shitload of fuel, we just subsidize it so you don’t realize how much it is. Using an image generator uses almost no energy (training it did, but that’s already done). The comparison isn’t even close.
For every calorie of food you ingest, it takes at least 10 calories to get it to you. Transportation, refrigeration, packaging, harvesting, etc., all add up.
