This is actually a dope album cover. Anyone wanna start a FOSS-computing-themed band?

hansolo@lemmy.today · 16 pts · 1y (5 replies)

I would buy this album.

And I'll play the harmonica.

kayzeekayzee@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 14 pts · 1y (2 replies)

I'll also play the harmonica but worse

hansolo@lemmy.today · 13 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Oh, I never said I would play it well.

Valmond@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 1y

Remember, there is harm in harmonica.

Solrac@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I'll play the Otamatone

CrazyLikeGollum@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 1y

I'll learn the theremin for this effort

Systemd of a down

perhaps because its a similar experience as installing Arch?

mrcleanup@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 1y (3 replies)

I don't get it. I have Garuda, which is Arch, and it was super easy to install. Maybe raw dogging Arch is harder?

joyjoy@lemmy.zip · 11 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Not since they added the installarch command to the ISO.

474D@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 1y (1 reply)

I think you mean archinstall, and while it is amazing, it's nothing compared to those "pre-configured" arch distros. It'll get you up and running but there's still a lot of work to be done to just use it normally

joyjoy@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 1y

This is the reason I switched to EndeavourOS.

the_wiz@feddit.org · 2 pts · 1y

I don't get it... Arch install is pretty straight forward?!?

bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de · 28 pts · 1y (3 replies)

Maybe because Arch uses GNU tools (like most other Linux distributions).

trxxruraxvr@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 1y (2 replies)

Thats not a gnu though

bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de · 16 pts · 1y (1 reply)

It's close enough for a doodle.

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 1y

That's what she said.

NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de · 9 pts · 1y (1 reply)

Because it's strong and powerful but it's hard to keep from crashing?

(I've never used Arch, and really have no idea how true that is)

annoyed_onion@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 1y

Based on past experience, fairly truthful.

xia@lemmy.sdf.org · 6 pts · 1y

The beast and rider vaguely make up the "A" shape of the Arch Linux logo.

Feathercrown@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 1y

Maybe the image is of an arched ibex?

EfreetSK@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 1y

Because Arch is at best comparable to sport fandom, at worst to religious cult. And fans/cultists do these kinds of things
