I'd argue there's still a energy+climate reckoning coming where energy won't be as abundant as it has been and high energy use activities (like AC) will be more challenging. the EROEI (Energy Return on Energy Invested) of renewables/low-carbon are much lower than peak fossil fuels.
Incidentally I'm the same as you I'm so socialised on sleeping under something I do it regardless of temperature

Wow, so you put your blanket it a bag. I guess what I use are basically quilts. Yours look much more fluffy, and also, the bag itself is much more light than my quilt-like blankets.
I need a blanket to sleep and I usually sleep on my side. When it's hot I put the lower half between my legs to prevent them sticking together and one corner of the upper half covers my torso the other corner is between my shoulder and face (I rarely use my pillow). It's more of a 'hugging the blanket' than a 'being covered by it' situation.
My office gets like that with 2 desktops running, a Pi4, NVR, and 3D printer. Its typically 5-10 degrees hotter in there based off my IoT temp sensors I have in each room.
Winters? Hell no. I was raised by the ocean, so used to very mild climates. Now I live at the base of hills.
On one hand, love all the green, rain and cool temps come spring and autumn. But 0C winter cold? Im a walking cloth hill, nightly buried in comforters.
I have to. My body temperature burns bright. Really thought my body temperature would get cooler as I aged out of my 20's but it didn't. I run a fan when i sleep even in the winter. Sometimes I turn down my thermostat and Crack a window because my neighbors pump their heat so high.

I have to have covers, absolutely hate my back being uncovered if nothing else. Some sort of blanket or sheet is essential to get to sleep.

my primary machine's a dell precision t5810 and secondary one's t3600, both has old power hungry xeon cpus so they're pretty hot even on idle

Bamboo sheets are pretty nice. They have weight to them but keep you cool in the summer.
