I tried watching, but I turned on the stream just pre-game as they had that boxing announcer guy trying to hype up the crowd (while butchering the names of the teams and clearly having no idea what he is saying) and I just found it so cringe I turned it off.
Please explain your logic? The MAGA cult is much smaller than people realize. Their shit gets amplified through social media platforms. The vast majority of US citizens are sane.
Not the person you replied to, but the leader of a country is a symbol for the country.
It’s very hard to support a country that is constantly attacking you in a global stage. Trump et al is demolishing foreign relations right now and destabilizing the US in general. Things may very well never be the same
People were willing to accept a return to business as usual after President Trump’s first term. His reelection is not only a signal that the US cannot be relied upon to elect competent leaders, but that checks and balances cannot be relied upon to prevent the damage. There is no stability in governance.
The leader of the executive can destroy commitments and policies of not just the prior administration, but policies of longstanding precedent.
With the Supreme Court backing of the ability to unilaterally fire government workers, the government will no longer be a stable place to work. It will be harder to recruit experts in the future.
Don't feel the need to add much. His second election demonstrated that anyone fooling themselves into thinking 2016 was somehow a fluke was way off the mark. And in many ways that's what's most frustrating about it. The problem isn't that Trump being president makes no sense, the problem is that it makes so much sense.
Trump has been a very visible part of this tournament, he was even there for the match yesterday and celebrated with the players. Infantino is a huge Trump supporter.
Should take notice but a 38 game season is much different than this tournament where most teams weren't pressing that heavily. Maresca has shown he gets found out for several weeks in a season even back at Leicester but Chelsea certainly showed they cam hang with the best yesterday.

An absolute upset. Chelsea always looked the more dominant team and so rightfully won. Well done Chelsea!

Didn't watch it as I have a hard time supporting America right now, but this was a bit of an upset. Chelsea will be scary next year eh?

That is not true at all.

I was NOT expecting this outcome. The rest of the Premier League better take notice of how good Chelsea looked today.

It's genuinely looking like the missing piece of their puzzle was a decent striker. But I don't know if that's enough to push them into contention.

So, Chelsea won but Trump took home the trophy?

Love spoilers.
