It isn't about whether it's consistent or funny or whatever we usually perceive as good. It's about the very fact that there is no human behind most of it, something which I want from a meme. I want to laugh together with the person who made this. But if an AI made this, there is no person to laugh together with.
Would an AI have made this on its own though, or might someone have typed "Lego set My first colonoscopy [etc]" into an image generator? If the latter you can still laugh with the person that had the original idea even if they didn't draw it themselves.
