It's not always that there's too much butter. Sometimes it's because the butter had a higher fat content or because the dough wasn't chilled enough before baking.
So like, we had some friends visiting from out of town. And the husband goes to make toast. He finds someone has taken a bite out of the butter in the butter dish. Perfect indentation of their teeth. Who does he accuse first? Not his kids, but his wife. And he was right.
It's the result of freezing the dough and bake it after letting it sit for a few minute, the result is crunchy outside chewy inside. Though i haven't experiment much with the ingredients so wouldn't know how each one will taste

It really does!

It looks great from the top, but it's super flat and will fall apart in your hand (plus no space for a nice chewy core)

Although if the first batch of your cookies look like that you can chill your dough for 10mins and get the perfect consistency on the second batch ^^

I guess all my mom’s best cookies had too much butter

Gimme the ground beef cookies. On a bun. With lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup.
Oh and a glass of milk to dunk it in.

As evidenced by the fact that that's a perfectly delicious looking cookie

These all look fine? How is a "perfect" cookie supposed to look like anyway? If they're tasty, they're fine in my book.

A sweet hamburger sounds disgusting. We're throwing hands over it.
