President Donald Trump conducted a White House press conference on Monday that stands as the most sweeping assault on science and public health by any sitting president, perhaps only matched by Trump’s infamous April 2020 coronavirus briefing, when he encouraged Americans to inject disinfectant and use ultraviolet light inside their bodies. This latest spectacle represents a dangerous escalation in the Trump administration’s broader war against science, medicine and healthcare policy.

Such an utterly pathetic, embarrassing time to be an American with a functional brain.

Listen... We're all pretty fed up with this shit, you're goddamn right about that. But we're all rooting for you guys, like YOU guys, the ones with brains. All of us out here looking in want the good guys to win and the bad guys to lose.
Right now it's in your hands though, you guys need to do something about it, eh?
We all don't want this to become our problem

Last time, they needed help from outside. They literally needed to be liberated. Please liberate us lol

It is a silly place, with silly people doing silly things. Except replace silly with evil, and we get closer to the truth.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem much better elsewhere, at least at one point we could lie to ourselves about that, oh wait no look where that led.

And Dr. Oz, in charge of Medicare has a company he promotes that sells the solution. Because of course he does.

I got a sudden urge to re-watch Idiocracy, but I think it will be too mild compared to this.

Yeah idocracy was set 500 years in the future and had a leader that actually tried to give a shit about his people. Now the movie's distopa looks good compared to where the current us is, the terrible sexist stupid future the movie depicted was at least somewhat just and fair. The current trajectory of the States seems like idiotocracy but mean.
