Over on the cyberpunk mastodon instance corteximplant.com they're having a watch party for Who Am I and I've never even heard of this movie. I guess it's a German movie but I can't find it streaming anywhere. Anyway, I'm curious if it's any good so I wanted to ask if anyone here would recommend it.
Here's a trailer with English subtitles. I guess it's about a group of hackers but beyond that, I'm not entirely sure of the plot. Wikipedia says it's comparable to Fight Club and Mr. Robot.

If this means anything to anyone, Who Am I was directed by Baran bo Odar, who also made the Netflix series Dark. I just learned that after making this post.

Thanks for reminding me that I never finished Dark. It was difficult to get back into after long breaks between seasons, but I really enjoyed the first season and now need to go back and watch the whole series from the beginning.

One of my favorite TV endings. Very satisfying, in my opinion. But yeah, it's rough to pick back up after a break.

One of the few actually bearable German movies. And it gets the technical details mostly right (relative to the low standard in movie and TV).

Agreed. I actually watched it in the cinema, because I went to see it as a work party.
Would never have gone to a German movie on my own, but I'm glad I did.

Didn't know about the film (I know this Who Am I?), although I recognize Tom Schilling.
Nor the watch party. I don't do Discord. I haven't gone "full Stallman" ;) but the reason I'm here is to move away from non-free-libre tech.
