One thing that’s always struck me was that most people prefer not to die in a hospital, but most end up doing just that.

I propose a system of trebuchets to launch people at high speeds in the general direction of their home just before they pass.

Most people die in hospitals. Statistically speaking, it would seem that going to a hospital is rather dangerous and they should be avoided.

There is a network of hospitals where I grew up that have the company name "Ascension".

I always thought that was an incredibly poor choice of naming convention for a hospital. Who wants to go to the hospital to ascend?? Bitch I want to keep living, not "ascend" at your hospital!!

It's because most people underestimate how much suffering is involved. The hospital can significantly reduce it.
