Only at first. It quickly becomes clear that Walt (the main character) is driven by pride and ego. He gets addicted to the power. The whole point of the show was to see if the writers could break what people see as “bad”, by having a sympathetic character devolve into evil.

an old friend of Walter's offers him a job, with excellent health insurance, at the company that they had cofounded but Walter was no longer a part of. However, Walter didn't take the job offer because it was too small—Walter had already begun to travel in worlds his friend couldn't even imagine.

That's the background of it but the show really doesn't touch on it any more that establishing it as a premise and motivation. Almost none of the show actually depicts his treatment or paying the bills.
I have seen socialist posts. And I seriously don't know what's your problem with that. Are you a burgoise who want to enslave the working class? In case of this, I can understand your problem. Otherwise, I think you are just uninformed and you have never read Karl Marx.
.ml is a weird beast, because it looks extremely inviting to the average user. There’s very little discord, and the users are generally very friendly. But when you dig deeper, you realize that it’s because the .ml mods are extremely heavy-handed, and work diligently to remove any comments that would go against the groupthink. If this was on my feed (and the post was 1 hour old when I saw it), it’s because the mods explicitly allowed it to stay up, because they support the message.

I recommend watching it if you've got lots of time on your hands. Its "old white cancer guy goes tits and pwns the drug game".
Its really good but its so long and sooooo slow.
