They love to leave out the comical level of fraud the guy committed, he wasn't sent to prison for being a rogue lol.

That would be like "John Wayne Gacy was a bit of a clown.. but most clowns aren't forced to serve life sentences".

Santos, who was expelled from Congress after a brief, scandal-plagued tenure, had pleaded guilty to inflating fundraising figures and falsifying donor names to secure Republican Party financial support during the 2022 election cycle. He was elected that year to represent a portion of New York City and its eastern suburbs.

Finally! Someone with the courage to save the "Rogue Patriot" George Santos.

If Rogue from X-Men, Rogue one, the Nissan Rogue weren't sent to prison why should George Santos be sent to prison?

Somewhat of a rogue, somewhat of a fraud, somewhat of a convicted criminal. Why should criminals go to jail when their release will piss off half the country? Can't waste that opportunity.

Well, he won't have to pay restitution to the Republican donors he ripped off, so that's something. Depending on where that death threat came from, he might not be safer on the outside.
