Her father was a congressman and her brother in law was a long term member of the county and city advisory board for San Francisco. Her husband is the head of a venture capital and rel estate investment group.
Pretty unanimous with liberals today. However, we have to remember she is fucking ancient and back when her career started there were still liberals who believed in government spending.
In the manufacturing world this is what's called a dirty hold study. You can do them to push out expiration dates/cleaning cycles/campaign lengths for equipment. This one failed.
The San Francisco district didn't change in the redistricting, and remains one of the few coherent house districts these days. There is a progressive using the mamdani playbook challenging her in the 26 primaries, so maybe she just wants to quit while she's ahead and keep her undefeated record.
Arguably the most effective Speaker in history, and got an incredible amount of maximally progressive legislation through the House on the thinnest of margins again and again and again. There's a reason Republicans hated (and feared) her so much.
Where? Pelosi is a bad person, and people have legitimate grievances. It seems most comments aren't even airing those though, they're just saying "good". I see one calling her a bitch, and one saying she's old which could tenuously be called misogyny if you were stretching. (At time of writing)
Otherwise, is this just another instance of somebody being sensitive about criticism being levied towards somebody who is part of a group criticised for their nature?
