Well, we'll always need some sort of "ruling class" but they should not have more power than needed so a system with compromises seems to be the best one IMO, like German/Scandinavian ones.

Trump doesn't have to approve jack shit. The vote to release the Kraken was 427-1 in the House and the Senate is promising a unanimous vote. You cannot get more veto proof than that.

He has to sign it / veto it except if there is a "supermajority" in both the chambers IIRC.

Didn't they have the FBI working round the clock to find references to Trump in the files? No doubt they were also burning or at least heavily redacting those files
