Another thing EVs are better at. Running heat without killing you.

nwtreeoctopus@sh.itjust.works · 12 pts · 273d (4 replies)

But it kills my battery so fast. I just wear a sweater when I drive in the cold.

Simply use your Cybertruck to mine bitcoin, thus getting your money back.

Heated seat FTW.

Yep! And steering wheel.

OldBoy@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 6 pts · 272d

This is every car in Australia in summer. Heated every fucking thing lol

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 272d

But what if I need to

Setiyeti93@lemmy.ca · 40 pts · 273d (1 reply)

Ah, so this is "docking" 😂

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 272d

Honey, the guys and I are going out docking tonight

Best sleep of my life!

chuckleslord@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 273d

The headache was awful, though

hakunawazo@lemmy.world · 17 pts · 273d

It's like heating bathtub water with a toaster.

Demdaru@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 272d (1 reply)

Hey, jokes aside tho, comfy and quick to set up. Like assuming younare not a cretin, this is valid.

Macallan@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 272d

I use a similar but not quite so redneck version every time I go camping. I have an air mattress specifically designed to fit in the bed of the truck with cutouts for the wheel wells and just use a ton of blankets to keep warm. If it's supposed to rain or be cold, I set up one of those pop-up canopies over the bed and just lower it onto the bed rails when I go to sleep. Works awesome.

I can see a new Tide Pod styled epidemic hitting the news soon.

Just to be clear - keeping the trucks running in a setup like this would kill people sleeping it in

krashmo@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 273d

Not if they voted for Trump. CO poisoning is a liberal hoax.

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 272d

Such a Romeo & Juliet thing to do <3

espentan@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 271d

For when you need to cook some meth on the go.

SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 273d (14 replies)

Or use the genset beside the truck and a portable heater?

notabot@piefed.social · 28 pts · 273d (13 replies)

Nah, that'd probably run out of fuel. Keeping the trucks running will keep you warm for the rest of your life.

danekrae@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 273d (1 reply)

In case there are idiots reading this: This is a joke. A good one.

plantfanatic@sh.itjust.works · -1 pts · 273d

No, it’s not even remotely funny.

The joke was already there in the post, they’re not even being creative by reiterating it.

salacious_coaster@infosec.pub · 0 pts · 273d

Nah. Modern catalytic converters more or less prevent people killing themselves with CO from car exhaust. They'd probably get a horrible headache, and maybe a little brain damage.

SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world · -3 pts · 273d (9 replies)

Someone’s never used a genset before. They can last all night, or add a funnel to increase capacity.

cosmicrookie@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 273d (8 replies)

I think that you are missing the point dude

SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world · -6 pts · 273d (7 replies)

No, I get the joke, it’s just incredibly unfunny and immature to joke about something people do because they don’t know better.

And these particular people actually have a genset and are doing it correctly, find an image that fits the bloody joke atleast.

It’s just tone deaf as all hell, or the idiot that made the image couldn’t even look at it first to make sure it fits their immature joke.

athatet@lemmy.zip · 0 pts · 273d (6 replies)

The picture is from the British comedy car show Top Gear.

SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 272d (5 replies)

Yes. Can you explain the relevance?

athatet@lemmy.zip · 0 pts · 272d

I can’t. You wouldn’t understand it.
