I generally agree with the notion, but it's a bit rich coming from the man who declared the greens their "main enemy" instead of the far-right AfD, whose populist rhetoric he instead tried to copy. I hope this is him finally realizing who the real enemies are and that we need to actually do something about them.

Yeah... No. He had so many chances. Copying the AfD was a strategic decision by the current leadership of the CDU/CSU and they will not revise it, even if it is the last thing they will do in their careers. I wish it would be different. But it isn't.

It's the guy who says whatever seems popular right now. 10 years ago he was against nuclear power because it's uneconomical and dangerous, today he wants to build nuclear plants because this would bring power prices down and is totally save.

Well, at least he has woken up now and has come to his senses

It is the most expensive energy available and studies typically don‘t even consider the nuclear waste storage costs which would drive the total cost up even more. It‘s share in the global energy mix went down to 10% and it keeps shrinking. Those are hard facts no matter how emotional you feel about it.

No he hasn't, he is parroting phrases he read somewhere in his "what's trending right now" social media page.

What makes you say that?

Don't be too gentle to him, he deserves worse

But he‘s simply a concerned citizen like you an me. The fact that he married into a billionaire family has NOTHING to do with his politics. I assure you! /s

Since when do we listen to food bloggers who frequently visit drug parties when it comes to defending ourselves? Let me remind you this perma drunk boomer sees the real danger of our time in green politics.
