Is it just me that thought Scott and Kip's story was more compelling and wanted more of them. Not that Ilya and Shane story was bad, just it felt cliché
Thank you for the tip! Just rented the audiobook. Can I ask tho... Do you know gay fiction thats not written by a woman? Outside of Adam Silva, I've read all his books
Is anyone else completely turned off Stranger Things by all the ridiculous ads? They keep trying to sell it with everything from Google's AI slop to fucking washing machine detergent.
Yes daddy Netflix, I would like nothing more than Demogorgon-flavored Tide pods, how very astute of you!
Yeah for real. The marketing didn't really detract from my opinion of it, the writing did tbh. Glad they ::: spoiler spoiler
had Will come out tho!

You'll have to put that spoiler in a new paragraph. Unfortunately spoiler tags are not a standard Markdown feature. There are no inline spoilers in the Lemmy UI (which is a stupid ass decision, what the fuck devs), and no spoilers whatsoever on Mastodon.
My examples won't work because they're in code blocks. Code blocks are meant to render their content verbatim, without parsing Markdown tags. This span uses multiple formatting tags.~~**_This is the same in an inline code span._**~~
~~**_This is the same in a code block._**~~
Like I said, spoiler tags are not a standard feature. Whether they work depends entirely on the renderer used by the client.
It was kind of a weak ass corporate whitewashed coming out though. No one ever said the word gay. I kept expecting him to finally say "I'm gay" but it just never happened and it really cheapened the whole thing for me.
I thought it told everything it wanted to in 2 seasons so I never was interested in the first place. I’m more shocked there’s hype in the first place. Season 4 wasn’t good at all. And I can’t remember anything from season 3.
heated rivarly is where the pic is from, and its hbo max, yea not the same genre. probably trying to connect the poor reviews for season 5 against a run of the mill gay flick.

You could read the books? The Scott & Kip one is called Game Changer by Rachel Reid, and is the first in the series of 6.

Queerceañera by Alex Crespo was a cute romcom.
The Sunbearer Trials by Aidan Thomas had a similar appeal for me as the Last Airbender. It's much more adventure than romance.
I liked Waiting for the Flood by Alexis Hall, but I wasn't into the sequel and haven't tried anything else from him yet.
Most Ardently by Gabe Cole Novoa is Pride and Prejudice with boys, though the author is non-binary in this case.
Even though the authors are women, I have to recommend Notorious Sorcerer by Davinia Evans and Self-Made Boys by Anna-Marie McLemore.

It's coming to Now TV 10th January, I can't fucking wait. Os it all boys or does it have any hot women in it? Or good sapphic subplots?

It's been all over my social media and like, I don't mind, but I think this is becoming unhealthy for me.

Guess it's my turn to say that I don't see ads.

On my third party client (Boost) none of your examples work but the ops does. Maybe a hold over from the Reddit days?

Could've figured... Totally didn't though :D Would be nice if spoilers were a standard feature, maybe we'll get them in the future.
can@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 254d
Could be. The orignal spoiler worked for me using Sync but this app never supported the Lemmy spoiler markup.

Yeah I don't know why he didn't just say it at the end.
Wish they would have given a better pay off for sure

What are ads?
trashcroissant@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 254d
I got bored of it in like season 3, but I've also just heard not great things about the writing now so I have no interest in it regardless of ads.

Just finished season one. It's so precious, so important for many people. I had many good cries. 10/10 will rewatch

So…. It’s not a competition.
It’s almost like people don’t understand that there are individual tastes that match the different genres of entertainment.

Edit: I’m an idiot and don’t understand the actual reference of the gay hockey players show.

Netflix learned from their mistakes and will continue on playing it safe by fundning bigmouth.
