My uncle passed unexpectedly a few years ago. He didn't have any family nearby so I went down with my dad to sort through his shit. This man had an entire spreadsheet with every single account username and password he had printed out. I cannot tell you how much time it saved me. He had a ton of accounts with monthly payments (mostly porn) that I was able to cancel immediately, and we were able to access all his banking stuff.
He also had a hard-drive full of meticulously organized porn, which was depressing to have to wipe to be honest because he had clearly put a lot of time and effort into it.
I dont recommend just a spreadsheet like that in your house tbh but ever since, I created a password manager with one primary password that my partner knows where to find if anything were to happen to me.
At the adoption places in my city they just put a sign on those cats that says "not good with kids" or something akin. If a kid still reaches in that's a them problem.

I like this idea but I wouldn't even want to normalize forcing kids to make a choice. Gender is fluid and I feel like making a big deal out of them choosing at a certain age would still force them into boxes that may not necessarily fit them through their whole life.
But a lot of redditors and the bots are garbage too. That place eis full of so much transphobia and racism these days. Not to say lemmy is perfect but I've certainly seen less of it here.

My only issue with this is that at least where I live, nuts are absurdly expensive. Like, paid $27 for a bag of walnuts recently expensive 😭
