Does this mean RAM and SSD prices will go down?

Narrator: it didn’t got down

The thumbnail photo accurately portrays how large GPU's are actually getting. Good luck getting that motherfucker in your case. Oh, and you're going to need a small substation to power the bitch.

Good thing I got a RX 9070xt oc just last month. It'll probably be held back by the cpu, but that will have to wait.

I did the same last spring when prices started normalizing and tending more towards msrp. Almost a year later and I'm still sitting on a now 11yo cpu with new a GPU.

I should have ordered RAM+mobo during bfcm but only managed to squeeze a CPU into the budget at that time. I'll be sitting on the old CPU a little longer.

Edit: this might be a good time to buy an Intel Arc GPU.

If only consumers... nope, it (ml) is literally everywhere

I know this is bubble related, and it sucks, but it is pretty impressive that the pc component market stayed largely the same price for the last 10-15 years at least. A high end PC in 2010 was anywhere from $1500-2000 and a high end PC until the recent component price surges was roughly the same, which means they got cheaper after inflation over the years.

I mean GPU prices never really came back down after the crypto boom.

Nvidia renamed their GPUs, creating xx90 SKUs to replace the xx80 so they could justify the price increase. The xx80 is the old xx70, etc.

Adjusted for inflation some of them did.

Well the dollar amounts never went back to their old levels AND they now sell you lower binned GPUs under the same name. So I'm not too sure they're back at the old levels. Like you should compare the 5070 price to the 960, not the 970.
