Denmark, like much of Europe, helped further US interests and imperialism, also in Iraq.
Imperialism doesn't require annexation.

I read recently they lost more soliders per capita than the USA did. It's really incredible how the Americans are simply threatening one of their allies. But yeah I guess this goes with the imperialism ends up coming home. In the same vein of seeing the police become more like the military, as if they were on enemy land.

No no, Danmark has allied with the strongest bully since WWII. And normally it means they get to keep their lunch money. They've known all along. It just sucks to find out you have an oil rich colony the bully wants.
