I mean i can accept that switching to Mastadon is a bridge too far for them, but why the hell all these officials, politics, journalists etc are still on the service formerly known as twitter really is beyond me.

Bluesky exists. It's effectively what Twitter was before that tit bought it. There's no excuse for still being on whatever letter of the alphabet Twitter is called now.

It has more daily active users on phone (not just accounts) and the grow has been progressive.

It's simple: it has a huge audience. You want to get your message across to as many people as possible, that's the place to do it.

It sucks, because something like Mastodon would be perfect, but it would be like shouting into the wind.

Yeah Bluesky has 600k posters a day (and it’s been slowly declining). X has hundreds of millions of posters, literally two or three orders of magnitude more. It’s really sad that people can’t change their habits.

Be easier to just remove the ability to generate all images, if it can create images, people will find a way to jailbreak it.
