In Japan, an itasha (痛車; literally "painful" or "cringeworthy"[1][2] + "car") is a car decorated with images of characters from anime, manga, or video games (especially bishōjo games or eroge). The decorations usually involve paint schemes and stickers. The cars are seen prominently in places such as Akihabara (Tokyo), Nipponbashi (Osaka), or Ōsu (Nagoya), or Itasha-based events, such as Odaiba Itasha Tengoku.
Itasha goes deep, these "builds" are closer to shrines then anything else IMO. It isn't for me, and not for many, but it isn't the point, it isn't to appeal to the masses, but to entertain ones self and truly indulge in their own tastes, personality and interest, same as Kaido racesr, Dekotora, Bosozoku or any other extreme car cultures. It is insane the effort people put in, but it is just for themselves, to entertain their passion, to take no shame, and really show who they are. Its really cool and I love the culture and history behind them all.
If you're interested in more, Noriyaro on YT has some videos of Itasha car events, shows off cool builds and talks about its history, really cool
People can put whatevet they want on their vehicle, that's none of my business. That said, I'd be too afraid that having something like this would incentivize some asshole to vandalize my car.
So are MiHoYo and those other companies actually paying the driver? I've heard of things like that.
Would make sense, another character was released recently that greatly improves Firefly teams, so the timing is right depending on when this was taken.
The Zupra....such a disappointment for us OG owners...they should have let the line die with the MK4 instead of putting a body kit on a Z4 and calling it an A90...
I guess, the thing that annoyed me the most was all the kids who get these on loans and then wonder why none of the OG guys buy them, and call them BMWs...or they pull some "toyota totally took this apart and made it their own"... no no they didn't, no company is gonna spend money on R&D for something that's already built for them. They're just telling you that so you buy the damn thing.

That's so indescribably sad on so many different levels that it almost transcends into art.
Almost.
Edit: Just to be clear: I'm talking about the motive, not the picture. That's great.

If the design only had the color scheme without the characters it'd actually look really cool
