People love to think of themselves as an ally to the lgbt community, but when it reaches the difficulty of not watching a tv show (or game) from a transphobe using the proceeds to fund hate, that's simply too much.
Depends on your goals and income level. I couldn't afford to rent a place with the space for the equipment I use let alone the equipment itself. Of course training isn't required for anyone, and there's a lot you can achieve with little or no equipment, but there's a reason why people pay for gym memberships rather than simply "doing pushups at home".
That's one of the things I enjoy about working in the video games industry instead of a normal software place, everybody seems much more progressive than the average for my country. Maybe it just comes with being underpaid and working on creative stuff.
I'd also recommend something like scratch. If these people are non-technical as you say, they might not understand the concepts of directories on a computer, zipped files and so on. You'd be risking spending your teaching time troubleshooting the setup process and losing their interest before they ever get to write a line.
Of course that's just based on how I interpreted your post, you know best their potential skill level.
I worked on big games that got leaked. Companies spend a shitton on marketing with the hope of making a big boom when it's announced. We're hoping to see our work revealed in the best way possible. When it leaks, that big announcement possibility is gone, that money is partly wasted, and what's shown is out of our control.
I've been watching halt and catch fire and I hate the main guy ever since he threw his wife's whole lasagna in the trash for no reason other than "I can make food too"

Inmates can even be charged for rent and come out indebted to the prison they were assigned to

There's a lot more to training than push-ups
Are you a formula 1 driver by any chance

You forgot the component part.
Canadian here, I did the same last week. I'm already boycotting the US and I don't want my money in their economy in any form.
If the design only had the color scheme without the characters it'd actually look really cool
Or point a very powerful laser at them
All medias stopped talking about it once they found out the shooter couldn't be used to demonize a minority

Too much facial surgery tends to do that
Robin Hobb's assassin series

It seems like it's a bit too late now to start astroturfing this though
Nothing beats Greg
