The right isn't a monolith and is actually a political force because of how well it brings in single issue voters like gun advocates, pro lifers, and cops/racists. ICE is cracking those bonds and splitting apart the base. A bunch of the 2A crowd are furious at the notion of "legally having a gun on you" is reason to die. The law and order crowd think this is insane and is trying to make guns as the sign of a terrorist (nevermind the optics for ICE).
My opinion of the NRA has somewhat improved since they decided to stand with transgender people and protesters. I'm still annoyed that they don't want to contribute anything to shape responsible and effective gun laws though except to say that no control is okay

Yet 12 hours ago they were quick to point the finger at Gov. Walz and his "anti-law enforcement" rhetoric.
You can't lick the boot and complain about its taste at the same time, guys.

One of the key features of fascism is intentionally ignoring logical contradictions in your argument if it hurts your argument.

Cool, so if ICE approaches me with a gun I should shoot them. Got it.

At least they are consistent. Even if they support us for the wrong reasons, still good to have an supporter with an actual spine
