I really needed this. Like so bad. I've been having a really hard time with my PTSD the past couple of days and it's getting a little unbearable. This just brought a tiny smile to my face .ty OP

In this time where we're surrounded by such overwhelming awfulness in addition to our personal battles, I find that something that really bolsters my resolve is making small, human connections wherever we can. The fact that the OP helped you to the extent that you took the time to leave a comment makes me smile.
And then there's also a meta level that makes me even more happy — I see the chain reaction of the post making you smile, and then your comment making me smile, and I smile even more at how easy it can be to brighten people's day. In recent years, I've made an active effort to be more kind and sincere in how I interact with strangers on the internet, and it's made one hell of a difference to my mental wellbeing. It makes me feel less alone to see the ripple effects of compassion.
Thanks to OP, and to you for leaving your comment. I hope that you relish in the fact that you are not just the recipient of solidarity, but also someone who helps to bring about even more smiles in the world. You are more powerful than you know, and I appreciate you.
