69 if you stretch it a little

This could create a singularity (depending on how loose the goose is). Don't do this.

Uranus smoke. Don't breathe this.

This was a question in a You Don’t Know Jack game, with the added “…64, if you relax.”

Eh.
This is how you know the universe wasn’t intelligently designed.
No one would pass up the opportunity to make it 69 earths inside Uranus.
SkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.de · 9 pts · 216d
It's 69 when Earth is flaccid
Una@europe.pub · 11 pts · 216d
It is actually Ouranus, Soviet Union renamed it 50 years ago. Everyone seems to forget that.
toynbee@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 216d
I thought it was Urectum, so named in 2620.
WhyIHateTheInternet@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 216d
At least it will have put that ridiculous joke to rest.
derry@midwest.social · 7 pts · 216d

It's named after the god, whose name is spelled Uranus in English.
stephen01king@piefed.zip · 5 pts · 216d
It's just a communism joke, don't worry about it.
samus12345@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 216d
Oh, the thought crossed my mind, but it's very similar to the Greek spelling (Ouranos), so I thought it might be serious.
stephen01king@piefed.zip · 5 pts · 216d
Now that's interesting. Didn't know the Greek had a different spelling.
FuglyDuck@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 216d
The Greeks were making communist jokes long before it was even a thing!
gnutrino@programming.dev · 4 pts · 216d
It's named after the greek sky god though, while all the other planets are named after Roman gods. It should be Caelus.
samus12345@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 215d
You're right, it's inconsistent. As far as I can tell, it's because the person who named it fucked up and used a Greek god name rather than Roman. To the delight of immature people (like me) everywhere.
WhiskyTangoFoxtrot@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 215d
It was originally called George.
