"I'm sorry, is this a 5-minute argument or the full half-hour?"

Etterra@discuss.online · 14 pts · 203d (1 reply)

They ain't paying me for a half hour.

bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip · 9 pts · 203d

An hour it is.

noxypaws@pawb.social · 3 pts · 202d

"an argument isn't just contradictions!"

"can be!"

theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world · 44 pts · 203d (3 replies)

No, people won't argue about just anything.

surewhynotlem@lemmy.world · 32 pts · 203d (2 replies)

Yes they certainly will

Oooh, thanks for reminding me that exists!

capt_wolf@lemmy.world · 39 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Had to tape it down to make sure it didn't fly away.

Remember_the_tooth@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 203d

For my money, this is the cleverest resonse.

mercano@lemmy.world · 28 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Did you just assume that bug’s gender?

carrotfox@piefed.social · 18 pts · 203d

Theythembug*

ADandHD@lemmy.sdf.org · 28 pts · 203d (2 replies)

Um, acktually. (pushes glasses up) This would only serve to to demonstrate that people may sometimes argue about this one thing. To demonstrate that people will argue about anything, you would need to show that an argument occurs for everything, which you do not demonstrate here.

Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk · 9 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Yes he does!

m4xie@lemmy.ca · 9 pts · 203d

That's not an argument, that's just simple contradiction!

jdr@lemmy.ml · 25 pts · 203d (5 replies)

It's pronounced "ladybird".

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 4 pts · 203d (4 replies)

When did we start talking about Lindsey Graham's butt moles?

bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 203d (3 replies)

Dude.

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 3 pts · 203d (2 replies)

Nature is beautiful 🥹

BambiDiego@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 202d (1 reply)

Is that anti-technological progress I sense in your tone?

Typical clankerist.

elephantium@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 202d

As proud clankerists, we can all agree that technological progress has gone too far! And we'll get right on that as soon as we vanquish the real threat -- the clankerites, those splitters!

X@piefed.world · 14 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Delete this now. You have overhead imagery of a hangar for the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider. This is highly classified information and the mods need to delete this and wipe the server now.

totally_human_emdash_user@piefed.blahaj.zone · 7 pts · 203d

It's cool, they can redact it by putting the image of a bandaid on top!

brokenwing@discuss.tchncs.de · 9 pts · 203d

Yes it is. And a beautiful one too.

etchinghillside@reddthat.com · 8 pts · 203d

May the papercuts between your fingers forever go without ladybugs.

DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 203d (1 reply)

Does it have an owie?

bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 203d

Maybe lack of oxygen

Zier@fedia.io · 8 pts · 203d

Did you know that the "Bandaid Ladybug" is one of the most healing in the world?

hperrin@lemmy.ca · 7 pts · 203d

What a marvelous testament to nature that this creature evolved to specifically mimic the adhesive medical strip so perfectly that I can’t even tell the difference.

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 6 pts · 203d (1 reply)

This is a rhino beetle. 🤨

janus2@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 203d

No, you're thinking of a cowboy beetle. A rhinoceros beetle is actually one of these

ThermonuclearCactus@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 202d (1 reply)

That's an Asian Lady Beetle actually, not a ladybug. They're an invasive species that was intentionally introduced in an attempt to control aphids and can sometimes but not always be differentiated from ladybugs by the color of their elytron (hard coating which protects their wings), which can be orange rather then red.

Saprophyte@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 202d

Can confirm, have them all over our house in the fall. They poop out brown sticky stuff when they're afraid that smells bad, so you have to be super careful getting rid of them.

dumbass@piefed.social · 6 pts · 203d

fuck you, thats a oopsy-go-away. fucking people these days have not fucking culture at all, like come on man, touch some fucking grass or something .. fucking ladybug....

PiratePanPan@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 201d

I hope they get better soon, meeting a band-aid that big.

foodandart@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 203d

That's a delightful ladybug. I have one that's got a picture of a bandage on it..

elephantium@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 203d

MidsizedSedan@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 203d

What do the lady bugs look like in your country?

takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 203d

No, this doesn't look like the Senator from Southern Carolina.

MedicPigBabySaver@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 202d

Wound strip.

myotheraccount@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 203d

Not everything that bugs a lady is a ladybug

Johanno@feddit.org · 2 pts · 203d

Des is a Pflaster und ka Marienkäfer!

Suck_on_my_Presence@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 203d

I dunno. I'd have to look it up to be certain but in the USA Japanese beetles looks awfully similar but are brutal and invasive pests. So if it's the JB instead of the LB, you've gotta find a way to get rid of it.
