I don't entirely believe you

YoSoySnekBoi@kbin.earth · 39 pts · 184d

This is either a shitpost or genuinely the most unhinged thing I've ever seen here lmao

friend_of_satan@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 184d

Yeah, even I agree with that.

theunknownmuncher@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 184d

No you don't.

yesman@lemmy.world · 14 pts · 184d

Protoknuckles@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 184d

This is the first one that made me mad, lol

guynamedzero@piefed.zeromedia.vip · 10 pts · 184d

This… this is unhinged. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who thinks they need to earn the privilege of viewing content on a website.

I bet you go through their “updated privacy policy” to enable all the optional cookies too.

DarkFuture@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 184d

See this is the kind of shitposting I actually like.

MutantTailThing@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 184d

Reminds me of that guy I knew that read EULAs

thedeadwalking4242@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 184d

I think you need to seek a mental health professional.

Have you seen any ads for those recently?

foggy@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 184d

🤮

Vandals_handle@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 183d

May be unpopular, but you are describing an action, not an opinion.

LaLuzDelSol@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 184d

I actually agree with not disabling ads for sites you want to support, but fully watching ALL ads? That is actually insane

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 184d

Advertisements:

Get behind in front of me, Satan!

_stranger_@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 184d

I just had a sinking feeling that posting this kicks off a Rocko's Basilisk situation that ends with not watching ads being legally defined as piracy.

SlurpingPus@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 184d

Ah yes, wasting one's time while not contributing to the click rate anyway. And if you clicked through and read the site, that wouldn't contribute to the conversion rate either.

Sometimes I also want to be the dumbest of all dumbasses on the outside of the planet's surface... but usually, fortunately it gets better after a little while, 2-4 milliseconds or so.

HubertManne@piefed.social · 4 pts · 184d

I don't go out of my way to block them but I am often ignoring them or not even in the room while I grab something to eat or use the bathroom or whatever. That being said I sorta like catching them as its very disturbing to see a big uptick in military recruitment ones or see crazy online casino ones that literally say you will be rich if you play their game. I think a lot of folks would realize why things are so fucked up if they saw what ads are being blasted out.

thatradomguy@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 183d

ain't nobody got time for that meme image

calmblue75@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 176d

I don't do that even for printed magazines/newspapers.

Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 184d

Guys: it also technically counts as this if you're using AdNauseam!
