That was hilarious. Explaining what a piece of shit the guy is for the entirety of their run while remaining calm and professional....the announcer deserves a medal
The only thing that would have been better is if the broadcast cut away to show footage of Gaza for most of the run, while occasionally showing the sport for contrast.
This happened on the Swiss state-run news service. Which has been biased pro-Israel.
So there was no chance of that happening.
I’m pleasantly surprised the commentator hasn’t been fired (yet)! It was also really amazing how they managed to stay calm and composed and just recite facts lol.
Also the swiss right wing media has gone on a frenzy calling it anti-semetic.
Completely and professionally dismantles the fucker, and then ends it by basically saying, “so anyways, he placed 26th.” That whole statement was just dripping with utter disdain. Just amazing. Meanwhile, the US is literally being run by fucking Mossad at this point. I hate it here.
Russia at least was originally banned not for political reasons, but because of systemic cheating among their athletes. I saw someone say that that's changed and the reason the ban continues is politics. I'm not sure. But if it was entirely about the doping, I would think that the IOC has a reasonable stance.
But broadcasters can and absolutely should do more things like this video. Use the Olympics as an opportunity to humiliate countries and athletes like Israel and their bobsledder for their involvement in war crimes including genocide.
Yep. Letting the Russians and Israelis to compete is legitimising what their countries are doing.
If a country is in a war/genocide etc, like Russia and Israel, then their athletes shouldn't be able to compete.
However, if the athletes change nationalities then they should be able to compete for the new country. But the athletes will lose any medals or Olympic records if they change back to their original nationality.

Ah right, so this was one employee who went rogue, and not an approved part of the planned broadcast? Very brave man!

Yeah exactly. They probably assumed barely anyone was watching anyways and then it blew up 😂

The swiss broadcaster pulled the clip: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2026/feb/17/swiss-broadcaster-pulls-olympic-commentary-questioning-presence-of-israeli-bobsledder

Either they should ban israel and america from olympics and fifa or they should apologize to russian atheletes. Absolutely shameful double standards

I dont see the logic behind banning whole country except for politics, that too around the same time they started a war.

Well, russians are also in the same bucket. Still can compete, still can demonstrate their fascist symbols

There’s 13 athletes from Russia.
They may not get a flag, but they still are competing and very much Russian.

unlike here, where they are running using Israeli flags,
