Its a meme. Most europeans dont follow this lifestyle and maxxing is usually a way to refer to something thats exaggerated. Also languages change and maxxing, pilled, etc are completely natural developments. You could say latin words are stupid cause they are also formed with compounding words.
sit in your car
get mad there are so many other people in cars around you
go shopping before a long weekend
complain about how many people go shopping before the long weekend
be tourist
make fun of tourists
Wat. This does not resemble my experience over there at all. Though Iâm sure the long weekend thing is pretty universal.
I was bitching on the train about Br*ts due to brexit and the older German dude I was talking wouldnât have a bar of it, calmly replied âthey have to make theyâre own choices and go their own way and thatâs okâ or something to that effect. Auto Bahn was fine and everyone was super friendly when I proclaimed to be a tourist by stating in German âsorry I speak little German, do you speak Englishâ? More often than not they complimented my pronunciation and replied in English.
Hell in the smaller towns, shops didnât even open on weekend before 10am. Shit was awesome. Would go back in a heartbeat. Though I will concede had I answered differently when they asked where Iâm from, it may have been a slightly different experience.
No no, you got it all wrong. It's not about making fun of tourists visiting Germany, it's about making fun of other German tourists while being yourself one of those tourists abroad.
I'm like this sometimes, and if I would set my alarm clock 5 minutes earlier it wouldn't change much because my mind would go "well, you did set your alarm 5 minutes earlier, you can relax for another 5 minutes".

Deciding to never run for a public transport connection ever again feels powerful, and relaxed!

Never be in a rush? Na man. The Dutch are always on time.

That's the trick: leave enough time to definitely get there on time, and you'll never need to rush.

I often see a guy on my commute who is running to catch his bus, and every time I think, dude just set your alarm clock 5 minutes earlier.
