AKA "everyone"

jumperalex@lemmy.world · 37 pts · 166d (5 replies)

True but, and hear me out, now it can be pronounced Slug-Butt-Que

CIA_chatbot@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 166d (1 reply)

I remember as a child playing slug bug on family trips. Playing slug-butt is gonna make those trips pretty awkward

jumperalex@lemmy.world · 7 pts · 166d

Well yeah, with THAT attitude!!!

phx@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 166d (2 replies)

I was reading it as slugbaitqueue myself. Now I'm picturing a rainbow slug mascot waiting in line and it's actually kinda hilarious

jumperalex@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 166d (1 reply)

I LOVE THAT!!!

phx@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 165d

I'm all for referring to MAGA types as slugbait too

undyingshadow@sh.itjust.works · 19 pts · 166d (1 reply)

You can just put us in the + at the end.

Jessica@discuss.tchncs.de · 1 pts · 165d

Back in the day it used to be

LGBTQIAA

For queer, intersex, asexual I believe, and ally.

Ally includes basically everything else and turned into the plus

Bombastic@sopuli.xyz · 16 pts · 166d (3 replies)

Not gonna lie, adding the S at the start is pretty funny

logi@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 165d (1 reply)

Clearly any persistent ordering of the letters shows an implicit bias. The only reasonable thing is to randomize the letters on each use with (at minimum) a cryptographically secure PRNG.

Jankatarch@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 165d

Alternatively just shift the letter each time.
lgbtqa+
+lgbtqa
a+lgbtq

flying_sheep@lemmy.ml · 2 pts · 166d

Yeah, analog rage baiting

lauha@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 166d (2 replies)

To be fair, S would be the largest subgroup ;)

funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works · 8 pts · 166d (1 reply)

are there more bisexuals than gendered gay people I wonder

(said the bi)

Manifish_Destiny@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 166d

Yes. So many closeted dudes are bi.

cerebralhawks@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 8 pts · 166d

As an ally, I figure I'm in the +. Or not in the name at all. Ally means an ally, not included in the group. But still welcome.

Straight guy. Wife and I love Pride events. We've never felt unwelcome. Just be cool to everyone.

There are a few in the community who are not inclusive to allies or they suspect ulterior motives. They don't represent everyone and are best left alone.

Etterra@discuss.online · 3 pts · 166d

So the S isn't for "super?" Well that's a waste.

thorhop@sopuli.xyz · 1 pts · 165d

What about LGBTQC... for cis.
