Dang. How do you get the blacks to be so dark? And how do you light the drawing for photography? Whenever I take pictures there's always a reflection in some dark area that I can't get rid of unless I'm at very weird angle.
I work in layers to build up the depth. HB to 8B helps build up the darkness. I take photos next to my balcony door with natural light coming in through the windows. I also get that glare when I take pics with interior lighting.
Thank you so much! I love packing in the details and creating world building elements. In the background you can actually see another house is being attacked as well. I was just inspired by H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds and wanted to draw my own spin on the alien invasion fantasy.
Thanks a lot! Around 40 hours. I don't really find anything hard about drawing anymore. But I would say the most challenging for me is drawing human anatomy and getting the limb proportions right.

Your detail is on another level! Do you have stories for your art?

That's sick! How long did it take to draw this? And what was the hardest part to draw?
