What's something you stopped pretending to enjoy?

Zucchini. I'll still eat it when someone else cooks, but I've given myself permission to stop using it when I cook. 9 times out of 10 it's just really uninteresting to me, and there are plenty of other veggies to choose.

Pretty much everything I was pretending to. Including engaging with my mother. Life is somehow too short and lasts far too long for some things.

Ope, good luck. My mom was in a similar position and it really sucked

I don't pretend to enjoy cooking. In my previous relationships, I would pretend I was interested but just bad at it/ inexperienced. When I met my husband I was honest from day one, and I'm so glad. I am bad and inexperienced because I loathe it. I get no joy from any level. It's maybe the chore I dread the most, and the need for it is constant and Neverending. It puts me in a bad mood to perform cooking at any level.
