They also promised us Irish unification 2 years ago and failed to deliver.

chocrates@piefed.world · 10 pts · 102d (1 reply)

Do the Irish want to unify?

Egonallanon@feddit.uk · 24 pts · 102d

I cannot answer that question without causing a lot of sectarian violence.

DagwoodIII@piefed.social · 23 pts · 102d (4 replies)

Pffft...

According to Star Trek, people with copper based blood can have children with humans.

_NetNomad@fedia.io · 22 pts · 102d

well obviously it's possible, otherwise how did they find a half-vulcan to play spock? what, you think they just glued fake ears to a human actor?

MadMadBunny@lemmy.ca · 10 pts · 102d (1 reply)

Pffft… don’t get me started about synthehol…

DagwoodIII@piefed.social · 4 pts · 102d

Let loose.

I need a good rant on a Friday afternoon.

kieron115@startrek.website · 2 pts · 101d

obviously their kids would just have an iron copper alloy-based blood.

Wasn't this just posted very recently?

Edit: yes

qprimed@lemmy.ml · 4 pts · 102d (1 reply)

have we reached r-site levels of reposting yet? have we truly "arrived"?!

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 102d

The Gowron Glory gets reposted monthly

But after the war, we'll find a way to start exploring deep space, meet new alien species and live in a more peaceful existence with all life in the galaxy ...

monotremata@lemmy.ca · 4 pts · 101d

But not in 2053. We have "the post-atomic horror" to look forward to first.

DioramaOfShit@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 102d (6 replies)

Wait we get to have sex with new alien species?

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 2 pts · 102d (5 replies)

Yes ... but they also want to have sex with you.

Don't forget, some alien species have their sex organs on their heads (or other bodily location), some have more than two sexes, some have no sex (and inseminate in other ways), some perform crowd insemination and some eat their partner after insemination.

obinice@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 102d (1 reply)

We must bring Jesus to the aliens

ininewcrow@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 102d

lol ... that would be hilarious ... we get out into the galaxy to explore new worlds and we finally abandon our old ancient religious beliefs only to find out that the Old Testament and Jesus Christ, the Son of God is common to every world we come across.

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 2 pts · 101d

8472 is probably the kinkiest, they have 5 sexes.

DioramaOfShit@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 101d

Crossing my fingers for crowd insemination

Is the federation just imperialism in space?

athatet@lemmy.zip · 4 pts · 102d

No because they are a federation and not an empire.

stupidopensourceBS@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 101d (1 reply)

I thought it was communism in space.

chocrates@piefed.world · 2 pts · 101d

Humans are post scarcity at least, but resources aren't distributed equally across the federation afaik.

usernamefactory@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 101d (2 replies)

Yes. Remain Klingon!!!

JadenSmith@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 101d (1 reply)

If a Klingon leaves his clan and goes far away, are they now a Feloff?

usernamefactory@lemmy.ca · 1 pts · 101d

A true Klingon never falls off.

Tollana1234567@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 101d

sorta, when they tried to explore the gamma quadrant despite repeated warnings, and threats, and destruction of a colony, they dint stop at all. so the dominion decided to wage war on alpha quadrant.

Enkrod@feddit.org · 5 pts · 101d

I'd be more worried if the Simpsons predicted this.

cattywampas@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 102d (1 reply)

Hey well we skipped the Eugenics Wars so I don't see why we can't skip WWIII.

Tyrq@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 102d

Our we could just do a mashup, seems like those things would go well together

Evil_Shrubbery@thelemmy.club · 4 pts · 101d

30% of humans killed.

So by that metric we fall all the way back to the distant year 1996 (8.3bn to 5.8bn).

in ds9, 2024 episode pretty much the whole population is living in ghettos.

We are just a bit behind schedule
