Electric vehicle purchases in Australia have surged amid the ongoing war in Iran, as drivers worry about rising fuel costs.
The big drawcard: much cheaper running costs. As of 22 April, A$1 of electricity takes an EV 45 kilometres, while $1 of diesel gets you 5.4 km.

I wish, I'd buy it.
Although I did electricity my bicycle and I got music and audiobooks on my phone so I guess I kinda got that already unless its raining or something.

all new cars do, so as an Australian this is the reason to get a Chinese car.
I don't care if the Chinese government is spying on me, I do care if my government, or any close ally with information sharing about me is spying on me.
that we need to buy cars is the problem. Viye Green for better public transport and less car dependency.
