It's not parked, it's wading.

RobotToaster@mander.xyz · 5 pts · 74d

Quackers.

TIL that wade mode is not a Tesla exclusive. Every car can do it if you're dumb enough to drive into a reservoir.

grue@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 74d

The VW Beetle was famous for it too, kinda.

Maybe it's a Nazi car thing. /s

His name wasn't Wade, that's the problem.

I mean, if you squint at a cybertruck really hard, and it’s parked behind a bush, and there’s a heat haze, and it’s dark, and you’ve got the wrong glasses on, and you’ve just been hit quite hard on the head with a lemon nailed to a cricket bat… it still doesn’t really look like the James Bond Lotus that could go underwater. I guess that’s what they were hoping for.

Bluegrass_Addict@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 74d

it's called Wade mode... ok

JohnSmith@feddit.uk · 1 pts · 74d

Oh it’ll go underwater just fine.

I saw a nazi mobile on the road here like two month ago and it made me upset

snooggums@piefed.world · 5 pts · 74d (1 reply)

I have to see one almost every morning when dropping my kid off at school.

It somehow seems uglier over time.

Malyca@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 74d

Me too. I live in a tiny rural town too, no idea why there's one of those here.

Malyca@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 74d

Those things are like knives on wheels. Stay away from them unless you want to be cut up into pieces during an accident. I GTFO if I see one near me.

TachyonTele@piefed.social · 1 pts · 74d (3 replies)

And other countries!

notsosure@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 74d

Nah Europeans read manuals the right way up.

wewbull@feddit.uk · 1 pts · 74d (1 reply)

Well it's banned in Europe/UK. So, not there.

TachyonTele@piefed.social · 1 pts · 74d

Well i mean, multiple people have said it's in thoer country so... shrug

Iirc, tye cybertruck doesn't have a clear coat over its paint, so wouldn't doing this also rust the car?
