Make a routine. Same time, same place every day. Try to pick an open area so they can see any potential predators. Before you feed them, make a unique sound like a click or whistle. Avoid eye contact until they're comfortable with you. At first, toss peanuts from a distance to avoid spooking them. Let them set the pace. You'll have a crow buddy before you know it.
My friend recently approached someone wearing a crow at a concert we were at. It’s started as “this person could be interesting” and ended as “that was a really strange person”.
