Honestly, I made the switch about 6 months ago and haven't looked back once. The Jellyfin native Android TV app is a bit lacking, but I recently installed Wholpin and find it much better!

My only other gripe is that Plex allows you to set subtitle and audio language preferences per library while JF only allows one preference for the whole server. This is annoying for those of us enjoying foreign language films, where I often end up having to play with the settings every time I want to watch a foreign feature.

I've also heard that some people miss the syndication of Plex, where you have one account connected to many servers. I only connect to my own, so don't know much about this.

Messaging apps generally. Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, you name it. I'd love to move to something like Signal or I'd even do Telegram, or in a perfect world, host my own server storing the messages/media. But the broader population just wants the path of least resistance, so now I have like 5 apps on my phone and all of them are varying degrees of compromised.

I can't validate our use of them, but I can at least commiserate. Heliboard was so much slower it wasn't even funny. SwiftKey just knows what I'm trying to say and I can type as lazily as I want. Heliboard had to be nearly perfect to even have a chance of autocorrecting correctly.

Google Maps too, I'm not ready to give it up.

Good work finding a picture where his lapels line up perfectly with the Dos Equis guy!

Fallout New Vegas. People act like it's the best open world game of all time. I just found it boring running around the desert. There are both much prettier open world games, and much more immersive open world games.

While the median is hard to believe, I think it's worse in some ways that half of the students are performing worse than the mean.

Lookie here boys, we gots ourselves a tough guy. Hey, Rico, why don't you show our friend what happens to tough guys round here. Maybe a little swim with the fishies will show him we ain't so bad after all.

This take is short-sighted. This same comment could be copy-pasted to 20 years ago when the first 1TB HDD was released. Of course it was stupid expensive. But now you would hardly glance at an HDD under 1TB. Technological progress is fast, and benefits consumers.

This is top tier right here. High quality dank memes made fresh to order. I think the meme economy went bust, but I almost want to invest.
