Showing off for everyone after a fresh round of layoffs.

Seattle this evening. Nice to see how the other half lives.

Why haven't I seen stories about how this has been molotov'd yet?

You can stand on bridges which are also freeways to drop... Things... At opportune moments, then just drive away.

Are you saying that an e-bike, ala Luigi, is the smarter choice?

GirthBrooksPLO@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 77d

What you need is some magnets attached to some "excitable material" just below the waterline. Anyone with scuba gear could make Zucks day a bad one, in Minecraft, of course.

Because people are wimps

With how cheap drones are now, and how Ukraine (and others) have proven their efficacy as weapons, I'm surprised we don't see a large uptick in "domestic terrorism" using drones. It'd be so easy to stick a molotov on a drone and crash it into this, or just drop it. I've seen far dumber and harder attacks that people have tried. It's probably like $100 or something for a drone now (I have no idea honestly, could be cheaper) and a few bucks for a gallon of gasoline.

Sheesh, how many workers do you have to lay off before one with nothing to lose gets let go?

Allegedly he's not here. The ship is just being serviced, probably before going to to Alaska since we're a common stopping point on that route.

quick_snail@feddit.nl · 6 pts · 77d (1 reply)

underwater drones probably work better for boats. See Yemen.

Cethin@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 77d

Ukraine too. They've effectively defeated the entire Russian navy with drones alone.

I’m not going to say that Putin is right about his politics, weaponized mass humanitarian sabotage, military choices, personal style, or really anything else, but I’ve always liked that he pops the heads off of his oligarchs to drink their fortunes from their still pulsating necks. Wish the IRS had the balls to do the same.

kungen@feddit.nu · 13 pts · 77d (2 replies)

Except not really. If you're loyal to him, everything's fine... but if you go against him, you'll fall out a window. And all the US oligarchs basically do the same thing.

Gullible@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 77d (1 reply)

In the US, they execute people for their money?

kungen@feddit.nu · 4 pts · 77d

No, and they don't really do that in Russia either. The goal is to get everyone bowing down to the leader, falling out of windows is just the easiest way for the state to get a loyal crony running the company. The US just likes to do it in other ways.

It's like a live cancer that the body doesn't recognize as dangerous. It just grows and grows between al the healthy and normal cells. It looks huge to us, just like the tumor. Yet the system it lives in won't counteract it's growth.
