It's definitely a great feeling. My girlfriend doesn't dress femme much or wear makeup much at all (stereotypical lesbian I suppose 😂), so I've often been the feminine one and that often also feels really great.

Anyway, congrats!

I found a psychiatrist who not only had experience with ADHD but also had it. He pointed it out to me in my late 30s and before that I didn't really ever consider it.

If you want medication, you'll need a psychiatrist. But if you just want evaluation and therapy then a therapist is enough (and a little cheaper if no insurance). I will say mental health providers are generally spread pretty thin these days, so expect a waiting list to get in with a good one.

Anyway, make sure it's one who has experience with ADHD because a lot do not and tend to discount it or default to assuming people are just trying to get drugs.

OnStar has existed since the 90s. That system requires a subscription that pays for the cell connection. The old ones no longer work because the cell tech is too old and the towers are gone. But usually the sim is embedded in the device, not replaceable or updatable. But it doesn't need to because it's built into a car and rarely would be transferred to another car while maintaining the same owner like a phone sim might.

There are lots of other devices that have existed over time that the manufacturer negotiates with a cell carrier and because these devices use small enough amounts of data, the initial cost of the device pays for all of the service. Usually the device advertises that it has "lifetime" service, but of course that isn't the lifetime of the owner or even the device, but more that of the contract between the manufacturer and cell carrier.

As for the systems that car manufacturers use for telemetry, they pay the cell providers for that. In bulk and with very little data, I'm sure it's not even all that much and they likely use the promise of selling other services like OnStar and giving a cut to the cell provider to at least partly offset that cost to them.

If your car has a shark fin antenna, you can sometimes disconnect the leads for the cellular, WiFi, and/or satellite antennas that the car uses to report telemetry and private driving data back to the manufacturer or any other services. You will lose certain functionality, of course, like satellite radio, emergency services if you subscribe to them, etc. But you can then leave the GPS antenna connected.

I'd recommend disconnecting them at the source rather than the fin of possible, though, as, depending on what kind of signal we're talking about, just the lead running through the car might be enough of an antenna to still transmit to very close cell towers. But it's usually easier to find the wires at the fin.

Not the best solution, but can be useful in some cases. It might be a more targeted solution than some of the others like popping a fuse which may also disable more essential features.

Not sure if it's helpful, but I had a lot of issues with sex before I transitioned. I hated the out of control feeling that testosterone made me have when I was turned on. I often ended up having trouble maintaining erections and such and I generally enjoyed giving oral sex (mostly to vulvas) more than penetration except that my hormones made me want to give penetration and have orgasms so badly. Also, although I've been openly bi/pan for a long time, I never enjoyed anal sex (giving or receiving).

I got vaginoplasty about a year ago (getting some revision surgery soon). I had no real intention of even thinking about sex until after I had the revision and even then I mostly just wanted to have sex with people with vulvas rather than penises and didn't think I'd really want any penetration, just oral and manual sex. I also had some complications with my vulvoplasty and have a lot of trouble getting off and assumed that no one would be able to give me an orgasm, and I'd have to do it myself.

That all changed when I met my current girlfriend at a party. She's a cis-woman who has been bi for a long time but never had sex with a woman before. This kind of put me at ease a bit because neither of us were going into it with any expectations of what sex should be like.

Sex without toxic masculine practices, penises, and testosterone is way different than I expected. Toys and lube are not only normal, but kind of required much of the time, and orgasms don't have to be the end of the encounter.

It took a while to get comfortable trying new things and learning each other's bodies, but I really enjoy being penetrated vaginally with a strap-on and using a magic wand at the same time among other things. And since we're never in a hurry to keep an erection going or needing to stop for a while once one of us orgasms, or even for both of us to have orgasms every time, our sessions generally last hours instead of minutes and we can concentrate on one or the other, or do things that stimulate us both. And since there's no expectations, we both have very different needs, and we feel comfortable constantly communications those needs without the toxic masculinity conditioning or expectations, we can change it up as many times as we need to. There are so many types of toys and positions for us to try out it's a whole new world.

But of course that's just my experience. Vulvoplasty was the primary thing I was interested in when I transitioned, so YMMV.

Not sure where you live, but why do you need a psychiatrist to prescribe it? My general practitioner does it for me and as far as specialists it seems like it's more of an endocrinologist's specialty to handle. If the psych visit is just a matter of getting past gatekeeping like older WPATH recommendations that some places take as "requirements" because they don't, or pretend not to, understand. Then isn't the therapist's signoff enough based on the most recent few versions of WPATH guidelines, and then you could see someone with experience with trans people?

That said, I know some countries and/or insurance companies require more.

Linux so far is mostly exempt and it's the big corporations like Microsoft, Apple, and Google who actually want it so they can sell that info and use it for ads. For Linux, just consider it one more criteria for choosing your distribution if it comes around. If the distro adds it as a requirement for install, then move to another. Fortunately there are lots of good ones these days.

Thanks, I know everyone is different, but nice to have some others to compare against. They kook amazing, by the way. I'm hoping mine at least reach that size. I've never wanted bigger ones like most of family has, but it feels nice to have something, both for myself (and my girlfriend), as well as for more feminine presentation when wearing dresses and such.

I think when I say sore, I mean compared to other parts of the body. It's a very mild achy soreness for me and usually only when I press on them. Also, my areola and nipples get slightly more sensitive to touch, in a good way, mostly. Of course I have a very high pain tolerance and everyone is different, so I hate to compare, but that's my experience.

Comparatively, before I started HRT, the tips of my nipples would get really irritated if they got hard from cold or too much touch and then got played with for a bit or pinched or I was wearing rough fabric, but there was never the mild soreness across the breast.

After my estrogen levels dropped there was basically no feeling beyond simple touch that the rest of the body feels. So I'm happy the last couple of months the sensation has come back and I actually started enjoying the sensation of girlfriend sucking on them with some pressure and light pinching.

How long between the last 2.

I have been on estradiol for a couple of years, but a few months ago I switches from patches to injections and my breast finally started feeling a little sore again. I wasn't getting enough from the max dose of patches anymore. I think because the adhesives were lightly irritating the skin in the areas I used and over time it became less receptive. I also take progesterone for the last year or so.

I'm looking forward to a little more growth even if I never reach Tanner Stage 4 or 5. Just would like bras and maybe some other clothes to fit better. 🙂

I have electrical experience so it's easy for me, but I can definitely understand not wanting to touch AC power. If you do it wrong you can die or burn your house down. It's easy and not a lot of variations, but how many people do you know who just can't follow step by step instructions and the stakes are higher here than just factory reset the device if you mess up.

If you don't see the value in defending fascism, especially in an age where elections are often won by the party with the most money since they can control the media coverage, then I can't help you. I can't teach you to empathize with the people who they will murder if in power. I'm one of them, but guessing you're not.

Yeah, but if everyone says that then it adds up. Just like when so many people don't vote because their singular vote doesn't really count, but when a lot of people say that, it adds up. And it's not like there aren't alternatives that likely don't fund fascism, so why use one that I know for sure does, even if indirectly. I can't punish him, but I can take my few cents a month away from fascism and spend it on a more reputable company that doesn't keep around a known fascist.

Problem is that I now know for sure that by giving him money, that money is going to organizations that promote fascism. So, while I can't control where people spend their money, incan control how much of my money goes into their bank accounts. Same reason I would refuse to pay for anything Harry Potter. I know the money I would spend will go to royalties that JK Rowling will then give to organizations that spread misinformation about trans people or outright tell people that attacking women who even look too masculine, like Imane Khelif, is not only OK, but virtuous.

Any reason you are looking to leave ivpn? I'm using Mullvad until my time runs out and then switching due to the fascism thing. I was looking at ivpn as one of a few possible options, so I'm curious of people's experiences.

LOL, the ADHD won't let me pay attention, but if I see it, and it's not too rainy, I'd be happy to come over. I live only a few miles away, but it does take 2 busses and parking in Capitol Hill is always a drag. LOL

Ooo, too bad I didn't see it sooner. There are so many of us in Seattle, but somehow it feels like we are so separate. I need to get out and find some meetup groups. But now the summer is ending, I'll probably go back to hibernating in the dreariness until next summer. LOL

Yeah, if you want to receive packages that's kind of necessary. Someone has to own the place where the drop happens. Whether that's a separate piece of land, an apartment complex mailroom, or a simple PO box. If it's not coming to you directly, then there is an owner of where it is going and that owner has to know who the package is meant for so they don't allow anyone else to take it. Can't have both a fully secure and fully private location. Some person or company has to secure it for the owner or everyone has to have access and thus ability to steal it.

Get used to work (or school) being separate from personal. Use a different device wherever possible. If it's not, use a separate web browser at the very least and delete your device level advertising ID, don't access gmail with Chrome on an Android device since that usually logs you in at the device level, too, and don't add the login to a personal Android device to reduce some of the links between them. Just understand the risk of not using a separate device. For example, some systems will have the ability for corporate accounts like Google Workspace, Microsoft Exchange, etc., to wipe the device it's accessed from when you leave, and if that's your personal device, well too bad.
