Wow, I like angine de poitrine, but they aren't doing anything that "no one has done before" and they aren't "playing with neurobiology and physics".

They're some math rock guys having fun with micro tones, a loop pedal, and papier mache outfits.

I like them too but a lot of the hype around them is unfortunately pretty cringe. Microtonal music is ancient but it took a couple of dudes in wacky outfits to bring it to the attention of normies and music journalists who act like it’s some crazy new thing they invented

tl;dr: their music is microtonal.

“Plays with neurobiology and physics” is stretching it a bit thin, much like referring to any experience as “physically altering your brain”
